Nikkei Youth Association is an international nonprofit dedicated to youth Nikkeis, building global leaders through service work and leadership development.
We work to build awareness of Japanese American and Japanese communities globally, connecting youth Nikkeis across borders.
We want to create a large group of Nikkei youths ranging from high school to college, who have the ability to take on the world with great knowledge and skill. Members of Nikkei Youth Association will venture to become world class leaders by traveling to other countries and connecting with people from these countries. They will also create personal relationships with each other which will improve the self, teaching the youth Nikkeis on how to interact with others different from them.
Through service outreach and leadership development members of NYA will address and solve problems within the Nikkei community. These leaders will learn how to be understanding, passionate, respectful and confident. We envision bright figures who will help and bridge relations with the elderly, children and those in need. Nikkei Youth Association will change how others see the world and society one step at a time through global perspective.
